Description
The EXP0204 is a small RS485 serial data distributor that provides a central point to connect control data lines in systems with multiple PTZ cameras and controllers. It balances control signals, filters out noise and broadcasts commands across an RS485 network, eliminating dropped packets and over-runs.
It has two RS485 control inputs and a third RS232 input, with four balanced RS485 outputs. All three inputs sit in standby until a command is received, and a built-in line driver allows serial data to be transmitted up to 1200 metres with transient surge protection on every port. For larger systems the unit can be cascaded by feeding an output into another distributor, and it operates from a wide 12 to 24V DC supply with very low power draw.
