The Raymarine AIS350 is a dual-channel AIS receiver that displays the position, course and speed of nearby AIS-equipped vessels on your Raymarine chartplotter. As a receive-only unit it does not transmit your own position. It outputs AIS data over SeaTalkng and NMEA 0183 and requires a VHF antenna or an active antenna splitter.

Description

The AIS350 is Raymarine's dual-channel AIS receiver, an affordable way to add Automatic Identification System target display to a Raymarine navigation system. It simultaneously monitors both AIS frequencies and passes the position, course, speed and identity of nearby vessels to your chartplotter, where they appear as overlaid targets.

As a receive-only device the AIS350 does not transmit your own vessel's position, which makes it a straightforward, lower-cost choice for skippers who primarily want to see commercial and leisure traffic around them for collision avoidance. It outputs data over SeaTalkng and NMEA 0183 for easy integration.

The AIS350 requires a VHF antenna to receive AIS transmissions; an active antenna splitter such as the AIS100 allows it to share an existing VHF antenna with a fixed VHF radio.

Does the AIS350 transmit my position?
No. The AIS350 is a receive-only AIS unit. It shows the positions of other AIS-equipped vessels on your chartplotter for collision avoidance, but it does not transmit your own vessel's position. For transmit and receive you need a Class B transceiver such as the AIS650 or AIS700.
What does the AIS350 connect to?
The AIS350 outputs AIS target data over SeaTalkng and NMEA 0183, so it integrates with Raymarine multifunction displays and chartplotters that can display AIS targets.
Does the AIS350 need a VHF antenna?
Yes. The AIS350 needs a VHF antenna to receive AIS signals. An active antenna splitter such as the Raymarine AIS100 lets it share an existing VHF antenna with a fixed VHF radio.
