Description

The AIS950 is Raymarine's Class A Automatic Identification System transceiver for commercial vessels and workboats that need to meet Class A carriage requirements. As a Class A unit it transmits more frequently and at higher power than Class B, providing priority visibility on the AIS network.

The AIS950 system installs around a junction box that distributes power and data connections, and integrates with Raymarine multifunction displays so that AIS targets appear overlaid on the chart. A dedicated VHF antenna and a GPS antenna are required, and a range of Raymarine cables, brackets and spares support the installation.

The AIS950 has been succeeded by the Raymarine AIS5000 Class A transponder. Spares and accessories for existing AIS950 installations remain available.
