Description
The Raymarine Ray91 is a full-featured fixed-mount modular VHF radio with an integrated Automatic Identification System (AIS) receiver. The black-box transceiver hides out of sight while an ergonomic wired RayMic handset and passive speaker provide full control with crystal-clear audio.
The Ray91 is equipped with a 25 W transmitter, Class D Digital Selective Calling and a built-in GPS receiver (an external passive antenna such as the GA150 is required for GPS). It is multi-station capable and expandable to two wired handsets, with a built-in loudhailer and fog signal generator, dual-watch, tri-watch and weather alert as standard.
Its built-in Class B AIS receiver picks up navigation and safety broadcasts from nearby AIS-equipped vessels and shares them over NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng or NMEA 0183 with compatible MFDs, chartplotters, radar and instruments, identifying vessels by name, course, speed and CPA. This is a refurbished Ray91 unit.
