Description

The Ray70 is Raymarine's feature-packed compact fixed VHF radio. As well as full Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC), it integrates an AIS receiver so you can see nearby AIS-equipped vessels, and an internal GPS for position reporting and DSC distress alerts.

Despite its slim form factor, the Ray70 offers a comprehensive feature set including dual-station capability, intercom, a hailer output with automatic fog signals, and an integrated megaphone/loudhailer function. It connects to Raymarine multifunction displays over NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng and NMEA 0183, sharing AIS, GPS and DSC data across the system.

The built-in AIS receiver makes the Ray70 an efficient choice for smaller craft, combining radio, AIS situational awareness and GPS in a single compact unit.

Does the Ray70 transmit AIS?
No. The Ray70 has a built-in AIS receiver, so it shows the positions of other AIS-equipped vessels, but it does not transmit your own AIS position. For an AIS transceiver that transmits, consider the Raymarine AIS700.
Does the Ray70 have its own GPS?
Yes. The Ray70 has an internal GPS receiver, which provides position for DSC distress alerts and position reporting, and can share GPS data with connected Raymarine displays.
Can the Ray70 connect to my Raymarine chartplotter?
Yes. The Ray70 connects over NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng and NMEA 0183, sharing AIS, GPS and DSC information with Raymarine multifunction displays.
