Description

The Raymarine a65 is a sleek 5.7 inch touchscreen multifunction display that puts the speed and simplicity of full-function Raymarine navigation into a compact, go-anywhere package. Powered by the intuitive LightHouse II user interface, the a65 makes it easy to swipe, touch and navigate, while a super-fast dual core processor and dedicated graphics processor keep chart panning smooth and responsive.

The super-bright, optically bonded LED display is sunlight viewable with wide viewing angles, and waypoints and routes can be created and edited with a few simple touches. Build custom navigation pages by dragging and dropping applications to suit the way you sail or fish, and let the start-up wizard guide you through setup.

Built-in Wi-Fi lets you share data and take remote control from a smartphone or tablet, while a 50-channel GPS, Bluetooth audio and RayNet networking keep the a65 well connected. As a chartplotter it has no built-in sonar, but it adds fishfinding instantly with an external Raymarine sonar module, and expands with radar, Evolution autopilot and AIS.

What size is the Raymarine a65 display?
The a65 has a 144.8 mm (5.7 inch) diagonal colour touchscreen with a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. The display is optically bonded with a super-bright LED backlight, making it sunlight viewable with wide viewing angles.
Does the a65 have a built-in fishfinder?
No. The a65 is a chartplotter and does not have a built-in sonar. It does support network sonar, so you can add fishfinding by connecting an external Raymarine sonar module such as the CP100 DownVision, CP200 SideVision, CP370, CP470 or CP570.
What charts can I use with the a65?
The a65 works with Raymarine LightHouse charts, Navionics cartography (Silver, Gold and Platinum+) and C-MAP by Jeppesen. Charts load from a single microSD card, and chart variants of the a65 ship with cartography preloaded.
Does the a65 have built-in Wi-Fi and GPS?
Yes. The a65 has built-in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi for sharing data and taking remote control from a smartphone or tablet, plus a built-in 50-channel, 5 Hz fast-acquisition GPS with WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS satellite augmentation.
How does the a65 connect to other equipment?
The a65 has a RayNet (SeaTalkhs) Ethernet network connection and a SeaTalkng connection, and networks up to 6 units. NMEA 2000 devices connect through an optional SeaTalkng to DeviceNet adaptor. It also supports Quantum and digital radar, Evolution autopilot, AIS and IP cameras.
Can the a65 be flush mounted?
Yes. The a65 can be surface (flush) mounted or fitted using the supplied trunnion bracket, so it suits a wide range of helms and consoles.
