Description

The Raymarine a68 combines all the navigation capability of the a65 chartplotter with a built-in dual-channel, high-resolution CHIRP sonar. Powered by the intuitive LightHouse II user interface, the compact 5.7 inch touchscreen is simple to operate, while a super-fast dual core processor and dedicated graphics processor keep chart panning smooth and responsive.

The a68 runs two sonar channels at once. CHIRP DownVision, centred on 350 kHz, delivers a remarkably photo-like view of the world beneath your boat, picking out wrecks, structure and bottom detail with clarity. A second conical CHIRP channel, centred on 200 kHz, targets fish through the water column. Both channels are driven by the supplied or optional CPT-100 dual-element transom transducer.

The super-bright, optically bonded LED display is sunlight viewable, and built-in Wi-Fi lets you share data and take remote control from a smartphone or tablet. With a 50-channel GPS, Bluetooth audio and RayNet networking, the a68 expands with radar, Evolution autopilot, AIS and additional sonar modules.

This complete pack is supplied with the CPT-100 dual-element transom mount transducer and Navionics+ EU Silver cartography preloaded, ready to install and navigate straight away.

What size is the Raymarine a68 display?
The a68 has a 144.8 mm (5.7 inch) diagonal colour touchscreen with a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. The display is optically bonded with a super-bright LED backlight, making it sunlight viewable with wide viewing angles.
What sonar does the a68 have?
The a68 has built-in dual-channel CHIRP sonar. It runs CHIRP DownVision, centred on 350 kHz, for a photo-like image of the bottom, and a conical CHIRP channel, centred on 200 kHz, for targeting fish. Both run through the CPT-100 dual-element transom transducer.
Does the a68 come with a transducer?
It depends on the version. The display-only a68 (E70201) does not include a transducer, while the a68 with CPT-100 (E70207) and the chart bundles ship with the CPT-100 transom mount transducer. The CPT-100 (Raymarine A80351) can also be bought separately.
Does the a68 have built-in Wi-Fi and GPS?
Yes. The a68 has built-in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi for sharing data and taking remote control from a smartphone or tablet, plus a built-in 50-channel, 5 Hz fast-acquisition GPS with WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS satellite augmentation.
How does the a68 connect to other equipment?
The a68 has a RayNet (SeaTalkhs) Ethernet network connection and a SeaTalkng connection, and networks up to 6 units. NMEA 2000 devices connect through an optional SeaTalkng to DeviceNet adaptor. It also supports Quantum and digital radar, Evolution autopilot, AIS and IP cameras.
Can the a68 be flush mounted?
Yes. The a68 can be surface (flush) mounted or fitted using the supplied trunnion bracket, so it suits a wide range of helms and consoles.
