Description
The Raymarine A80052 is a protocol bridge that connects a SAE J1939 engine, transmission or generator data bus to a NMEA 2000 / Raymarine SeaTalkng network. Many marine diesel engines, transmissions and gensets output their data over J1939; this gateway translates that data into NMEA 2000 messages so it can be shown on a compatible Raymarine multifunction display as engine and tank instrumentation.
It is used where an engine system uses the J1939 standard rather than native NMEA 2000 output, providing a single bridge between the two networks. Detailed electrical and physical specifications are not published in the reachable Raymarine literature and have been omitted rather than estimated; confirm against the engine manufacturer's interfacing guide and the Raymarine engine interfacing documentation before installation.
