Description
The Raymarine Pathfinder Trackball (A80788) is a rugged, marine-grade USB trackball controller purpose-built for Raymarine Pathfinder radar, ECDIS and ECS systems. It delivers precise control in demanding marine environments.
The controller uses a responsive 38.1 mm optical ball with infra-red optical navigation technology, two tactile buttons and a hall-effect scroll wheel. The ergonomic housing is moulded in PC/ABS with a heavy aluminium baseplate and anti-slip pads for stability in rough seas. It connects by a USB-A cable (2 m) with plug-and-play operation and no drivers required, and also supports PS/2 (auto-select). It is host-powered at 4.4 to 5.25 V dc, drawing up to 100 mA.
The trackball weighs around 500 g, is fully waterproof to IP68 and is certified to IEC 60945. It withstands washdowns and harsh conditions, with an operating range of 0 to +55 degrees C, an MTBF in excess of 80,000 hours and a mechanical lifetime of one million ball revolutions.
