Description
The Raymarine Quantum 2 Q24D builds on Raymarine's compact solid-state CHIRP radar by adding true Doppler processing. The radar measures the tiny frequency shift in returning echoes to instantly determine whether a contact is closing on your vessel, then colour-codes it on screen: red for inbound and green for outbound. In busy waterways this dramatically reduces operator workload, making it far easier to pick out the targets that actually present a collision risk.
The 18-inch radome retains everything that makes Quantum easy to live with. It uses low-power X-band CHIRP pulse-compression for clean imaging from 24 nautical miles down to close range, draws just 17 W on transmit, and weighs only 5.6 kg. Doppler tracking follows up to 25 targets simultaneously, and a True Motion mode highlights only those objects moving relative to your boat. The Q24D connects by RayNet cable or built-in Wi-Fi to a compatible Raymarine multifunction display. This unit is the radome only and is supplied without cables.
