Description

This Raymarine pack combines the i60 Wind analogue instrument display with a short arm masthead wind vane transducer, giving sailing yachts a complete wind system in one box. The i60 presents wind angle on an analogue needle across a 000 to 180 degree scale with colourised close hauled segments, while its LCD reports wind speed, Beaufort, maximum wind, VMG and tack angle.

The short arm vane connects directly to the display's built in wind transducer interface, and the i60 calculates both apparent and true wind. On the SeaTalkng network the instrument shares wind data with autopilots, i70s displays and chartplotters, or repeats data from another source.

Red backlighting and group dimming keep night watches comfortable, and the 110 x 115 x 44 mm case matches the rest of the i50 and i60 range at the helm. NMEA 2000 and SeaTalk 1 equipment joins via adaptor cables.

What is the difference between the i60 Wind and the i60 Close Hauled Wind?
The i60 Wind shows the full 000 to 180 degree wind angle range and has a built in transducer interface for a masthead vane or Rotavecta sensor. The i60 Close Hauled Wind magnifies the 20 to 60 degree range and is a repeater, taking its wind data from a networked i60 Wind or an iTC-5 with masthead transducer.
Which wind transducers work with the i60 Wind?
The short arm masthead wind vane (E22078), the long arm masthead wind vane (E22079) and the Rotavecta rotating cup transducer (Z195).
Does the i60 show true wind as well as apparent wind?
Yes. The i60 Wind calculates both apparent (relative) and true wind speed and angle.
Can the i60 join an NMEA 2000 network?
Yes. The i60 is SeaTalkng native, and SeaTalkng is a proprietary extension of NMEA 2000. NMEA 2000 devices connect with a SeaTalkng to DeviceNet adaptor cable, and older SeaTalk 1 systems use the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng converter kit (E22158).
