Description
The EXP0216 is an RS485 serial data distributor that provides a central point to connect control data lines in large systems with many PTZ cameras and controllers. It balances control signals, filters out noise and broadcasts commands across an RS485 network, eliminating dropped packets and over-runs.
It has two RS485 control inputs and a third RS232 input, with sixteen balanced RS485 outputs. All inputs sit in standby until a command is received, and a built-in line driver allows serial data to be transmitted up to 1200 metres with transient surge protection on every port. Built into a 1U rack-style black metal case, it runs from a 12V DC supply with low power consumption and can be cascaded for even larger systems.
