- Prevents cross-discharge between service and engine start batteries
- FET technology with virtually no voltage loss, under 0.02 V at low current and about 0.1 V at higher currents
- No need to raise alternator output voltage, so batteries charge fully
- Current-limited alternator energize input powers B+ when the engine run switch is closed
