The standard battery management system for Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8V and 25.6V batteries in systems with a VE.Bus inverter or inverter/charger such as a MultiPlus or Quattro. It protects every cell against over and under voltage and temperature, disabling inverting and charging and switching loads and chargers via its Load and Charge Disconnect terminals, with a pre alarm for early warning.

Which batteries does the VE.Bus BMS V2 work with?
It is designed for Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8V and 25.6V (LiFePO4) batteries, either a single battery or a bank of them, in systems that use a Victron inverter or inverter/charger with VE.Bus communication.
What does it do when a cell reaches its limit?
On an imminent under voltage it raises a pre alarm. On a cell under voltage it disables inverting and switches off loads via the Load Disconnect terminal. On a cell overvoltage or an out of range temperature it disables charging and switches off chargers via the Charge Disconnect terminal.
Does it work with MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers?
Yes. The VE.Bus BMS V2 is intended for systems built around a Victron VE.Bus inverter or inverter/charger such as a MultiPlus or Quattro, which it controls directly over VE.Bus.
Can it also control solar chargers and keep a GX device powered?
Yes. It can disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers through a GX device, and its auxiliary power input and output terminals keep a GX device powered in the event of a system shutdown.
