It allows charging only when the Victron VE.Bus BMS permits it, and disconnects the charger the instant the BMS signals a cell over voltage or over temperature, protecting the lithium cells.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRated at 230 A continuous at 24 V and 80 A at 48 V, it connects the charger with a three second delay when the BMS charge disconnect output is high, when it senses 26.0 V (52.0 V on 48 V) or more on the charger terminal, and when it detects sufficient voltage on the battery terminal. A bicolour status LED reports the relay state and a one metre control cable is supplied. Once engaged it briefly opens after an hour to re check that the charger is still enabled, and it reconnects automatically when the charger voltage returns.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Cyrix-Li-charge is used where a charging source cannot be controlled directly by the BMS, such as a mains charger, alternator or solar charger.
