What does the Cyrix-Li-load do?
It is a load relay fitted between a Victron LiFePO4 battery and a load. Under BMS control it disconnects the load before the lithium cells can reach a damaging under voltage, then reconnects once the battery has recovered.
When does it reconnect the load?
If the battery voltage recovers after disconnecting, the relay reengages after 30 seconds. After three attempts it remains open until the battery voltage has risen above 26 V (52 V on a 48 V system) for at least 30 seconds, confirming the battery is being recharged.
What is the current rating at 48 V?
This model carries up to 230 A continuous on a 24 V system. Its breaking capacity at 48 V is 80 A, so size the installation accordingly for higher voltage systems.
When should I use a Cyrix-Li-load instead of a Cyrix-Li-charge?
Use the Cyrix-Li-load to switch a load and protect against cell under voltage. Use the Cyrix-Li-charge to switch a charging source and protect against cell over voltage or over temperature.
Does it need a BMS?
Yes. It must be used with a Victron VE.Bus BMS (or miniBMS) and Victron LiFePO4 batteries.
