When the Digital Duo Charge senses charging voltage at the house battery it works like a DC-to-DC charger, delivering up to 30 amps of regulated charging current to the starting battery, and when no charge source is present it separates the batteries so the starting battery cannot be accidentally discharged.\n\nIn most installations the Digital Duo Charge needs just four wires: a fused input, a fused output, a ground and an on\/off wire, and it can be programmed for 12-volt or 24-volt operation. It features four charging programs based on standard flooded, deep cycle flooded, gel and AGM battery technologies, making it possible to safely mix house and starting battery types. Where more than 30 amps of charging current is required, the unit can drive an external solenoid, and when used with the optional MC-TS-B battery temperature sensor it discontinues charging in an over-temperature condition.
