Description

This hermetically sealed 100A contactor provides reliable remote switching of high-current 12V engine and auxiliary loads, sealing out dust and moisture for dependable operation in demanding marine and mobile environments. By replacing manual switches mounted close to the battery, it eliminates long, heavy cable runs and reduces both installation cost and weight. A high contact voltage rating lets the unit be controlled from a 12 Vdc signal while switching higher voltages up to 48V and beyond, and ignition protection to ISO-8846 and UL 1500 makes it safe to fit inside closed compartments where explosive gases may be present.

The side-mount design simplifies installation in tight spaces, with reinforced mounting holes and 18-8 stainless steel self-locking hardware holding the unit securely in place. This version also adds auxiliary contacts that give positive confirmation of the relay on or off state, supporting remote status indication so the system always knows whether the load is live. With a maximum interrupt current of 1,250 A at 14 Vdc and high-temperature materials throughout, it delivers a bullet-proof, compact switching solution for the harshest engine-compartment conditions.

What system voltage is this contactor designed for?
This model is designed for 12V systems, with a control voltage range of 8 to 16 V DC. It switches the high-current load while being triggered from a low-current 12V control signal.
What do the auxiliary contacts do?
The auxiliary contacts provide positive confirmation of whether the relay is on or off. They support remote status indication, so your panel or control system can show whether the switched load is actually live.
What does the side-mount design offer?
The side-mount configuration lets the contactor be fixed against a panel or bracket, which makes installation easier in confined spaces. Reinforced mounting holes and stainless steel self-locking hardware keep it secure.
Is it safe to install in an engine compartment?
Yes. It is hermetically sealed against dust and moisture, made from high-temperature materials, and ignition protected to ISO-8846 and UL 1500, so it is safe in closed compartments where explosive gases may be present.
