Description
This XD Flex 2 unit is a triple-circuit remote battery switch that lets three high-current battery circuits be connected and disconnected remotely, replacing three separate high-amp relays with one compact module and removing the external link cabling that can vibrate loose over time. Built on the XD bi-stable solenoid platform, each circuit switches 500 A continuously and up to 1,500 A cranking while the assembly draws only 1.3 mA in the off state, so remote battery isolation no longer comes at the cost of a parasitic load. A front-facing LED reports relay status and is replicated on the optional remote LED.
The unit ships sealed with tinned flying wires for straightforward permanent wiring, and relay behaviour is configured through the DIP switches under the protective cover with a guide printed on the reverse. The case is sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K with high-temperature electronics, an integrated Gore-Tex vent and stainless steel studs, and large 1/4-20 / M6 mounting holes, so it can be installed in exposed locations. A protective terminal cover and a 40-circuit waterproof label sheet are included, and the switch can be expanded with 8790 and 8791 link bars to integrate with other XD relays.
