Description
EGIS CableCap stud insulators protect wiring terminations against accidental shorts or incidental contact, and are commonly fitted to starters, solenoids, alternators, generators, windlasses and battery terminals. This red variant suits 4 to 8 AWG terminations with a terminal diameter up to 18.5mm (0.73 inch) and a post height of 22.1mm (0.87 inch), and is supplied as a two pack.
Moulded from high-temperature PVC with a UL-94 V2 flammability rating, the caps offer rugged construction for use anywhere on a vehicle or vessel. Red is used for positive-side insulation, and the design supports industry standards by covering live terminations to prevent electrical hazards.
