Description

The EGIS 7612 is a TH3-Series dual automatic charging relay (ACR) for 12V electrical systems, rated 160A total or 80A per circuit (240A / 120A intermittent). It uses two independent charge relays with a single ultra-low-power monitoring system to share charging across three battery banks and isolate them when no charge source is present, preventing dead start batteries while reducing off-state quiescent current by up to 90% in three-bank systems.

An ultra-low off-state current draw of 1.3mA (versus 7-10mA on typical ACRs) means it will not deplete batteries during extended downtime. A fully sealed enclosure with integrated connector solves control-wire corrosion and vibration issues and enables plug-and-play assembly, while stainless-steel self-locking hardware and high-temperature materials allow mounting almost anywhere. An optional under-voltage lock-out prevents combining with a battery that has a shorted cell, and start/engine isolation and start-assist functions are individually selectable per relay. Voltage thresholds are set via top-side dip switches, LED diagnostics report status, and the unit ships with a Deutsch/Amphenol DT connector harness with Molex MX-150 and wire-lead options.

How many batteries can the 7612 manage?
It manages up to three battery banks using two independent charge relays and a single ultra-low-power monitor, sharing charging across the banks and isolating them when no charge source is present.
What is the current rating?
160A total, or 80A per circuit, with intermittent ratings of 240A total and 120A per relay. This 12V version operates over an 8-18 V DC range.
What is the off-state current draw?
Just 1.3 mA, which reduces off-state quiescent current by up to 90% in three-battery systems compared with typical ACRs.
How is it wired and protected?
It ships with a Deutsch/Amphenol DT connector harness and also accepts Molex MX-150 and wire-lead connections. An optional under-voltage lock-out prevents combining with a battery that has a shorted cell.
