Description

The EGIS 5601 is a compact PT-Series time delay relay (TDR) rated at 30A for 12V electrical systems. It delivers power to add-on equipment after the engine is switched off or at the end of a shift, then automatically times off after a preset delay, or earlier if battery voltage drops too low. This prevents add-on loads from draining the battery and protects sensitive on-board electronics through under-voltage and over-voltage shutdown.

An ultra-low off-state current draw of 1.3mA means it will not deplete the battery during downtime. The off time delay is adjustable from 5 seconds to 8 hours via dip switch, including a convenient short test setting, and multi-colour LEDs provide diagnostic feedback for output status and pending off events. The sealed enclosure resists dust and moisture, cross-linked wire protects against chafing and high temperatures, and integrated fusing plus over-temperature shutdown protect the circuit. A compact footprint suits space-restricted installations, and the unit is supplied with 16-inch fused and 18-inch control flying wires for installation flexibility.
