Description

The EGIS 180A drop-in relay switches high-current 12V loads where a compact, robust relay is needed in place of a larger contactor. It carries 180A continuously at 85C and handles up to 240A intermittently, making it well suited to demanding engine, accessory and auxiliary circuits in marine, work-truck and off-road electrical systems.

The relay begins operating from a minimum control voltage of 7.2 Vdc, draws 325mA on-state at 12V and releases at 2.2 Vdc, with a live switching capability of 300A at 13.5 Vdc. Its sealed automotive construction and high-temperature rating allow installation in engine bays and other low-ventilation locations.
