Description

The EGIS 75A automotive relay provides dependable circuit switching for 12V systems, carrying 75A continuously at 23C and handling a 150A inrush for up to three seconds, which suits the temporary high draw of equipment start-up loads. Bifurcated contacts reduce contact bounce and wear, helping the relay switch efficiently and last over many cycles.

It is built for harsh conditions with a high 125C temperature rating, IP54 ingress protection and reinforced mounting tabs, and meets or exceeds IEC 60068 shock and vibration standards. Offset input and output terminals with an integrated divider help prevent accidental shorts, while shielded flat blade connectors and zinc-plated M5 terminal screws make wiring quick and secure.

What are bifurcated contacts and why do they matter?
Bifurcated contacts split each contact into two, which reduces contact bounce and wear so the relay switches more efficiently and lasts longer, rated here to 100,000 cycles.
Can it handle high start-up loads?
Yes. It is rated for 75A continuously at 23C and a 150A inrush for up to three seconds, suiting the temporary high draw of equipment start-up.
Is it suitable for engine bay installation?
Yes. It carries an IP54 rating, a 125C temperature rating and meets IEC 60068 shock and vibration standards for harsh installation environments.
How are the wires connected?
Wiring uses shielded dual 6.3 mm flat blade male terminals, with zinc-plated M5 terminal screws for the power connections.
