Description
The EGIS Short Stop is a robust surface-mount thermal circuit breaker that protects low and medium ampere circuits against short circuits and over-current loads, preventing wire insulation from overheating. Rated at 20A and 28 VDC, it suits both 12V and 24V systems and offers re-settable protection that is more convenient than replacing a fuse. The Type III manual reset allows power to be restored easily once a fault has been cleared.
Built for harsh marine environments, the breaker carries an IP66 rating against dust and water intrusion and is ignition protected for safe installation in enclosed compartments where explosive gases may be present. Anti-rotation, corrosion-resistant locking hardware and a reinforced mounting tab ensure a secure, long-lasting installation. An optional protective cover guards against inadvertent shorts between the breaker studs and adjacent positive or ground points.
