Description

The EGIS 7601 is a TH-Series time delay relay (TDR) rated at 160A continuous for 12V electrical systems. It keeps power available to add-on equipment after the engine is switched off or at the end of a shift, then automatically disconnects after a preset time, or earlier if battery voltage drops too low. This prevents add-on loads from draining the battery and protects starting capability, with optional start-event isolation to shield sensitive electronics from cranking voltage fluctuations.

An ultra-low off-state current draw of 1.3mA (versus 7-10mA on typical relays) means it will not deplete batteries during downtime. The off time delay is adjustable from 15 minutes to 16 hours (plus a 5-second test mode) via top-side dip switches, and under/over-voltage shutdown adds further protection. A sealed enclosure, high-temperature materials and integrated thermal-overload protection allow mounting almost anywhere, while LED diagnostics report pending off events and output status. Flexible control is available via ignition key, alternator voltage sense, or both, and the unit ships with a harness carrying two-foot ground/ignition wires; longer wires, additional outputs and Deutsch connectors are available. This is the bulk-packed version supplied without retail packaging.

What does the 7601 time delay relay do?
It keeps power on to add-on equipment for an adjustable period after the engine is switched off, then disconnects automatically so the equipment cannot drain the battery. It can also disconnect early if battery voltage drops too low.
What is the time delay range?
The off time delay is adjustable via top-side dip switches from 15 minutes to 16 hours, with an additional 5-second test mode.
What is the current rating and voltage range?
It is rated 160A continuous (240A intermittent) for 12V systems, operating over an 8-18 V DC range with low-voltage protection at 11.0 V DC.
How is it controlled and wired?
Control is flexible via ignition key, alternator voltage sense, or both. It ships with a harness carrying two-foot ground/ignition wires, and longer wires, additional outputs and Deutsch connectors are available.
