Description

The EGIS 8530-1535 is a triple-circuit XD Series Flex L module configured as a relay, a lithium-tuned automatic charging relay (ACR) and a relay, replacing three individual high-amp relays and their external link cables with one compact unit. Built on the XD bi-stable solenoid platform, it delivers 500A continuous current and up to 1500A cranking over an 8-36V DC range, with thresholds suited to modern lithium battery chemistries. The central ACR shares charge between banks while the outer relays handle load switching, replicating common multi-battery switching and charge-management layouts, and it can also consolidate multiple ACRs for three and four battery systems.

Each of the three circuits has its own front-facing 3-position manual override knob that forces the relay open or closed and locks it in either state, with a clear front LED and a remote LED that mirrors it. The sealed enclosure is rated to IP67/IP6K9K with an integrated Gore-Tex vent for long life in harsh environments, and stainless-steel studs with self-locking flanged nuts accept 1/4-20 or M6 hardware. Functions are configured via dip switches under the included protective cover, off-state draw is just 1.3mA, and the unit terminates in flying tinned wire leads. It can be expanded with optional 8790 link and 8791 crossover busbars.

How are the three circuits arranged?
The 8530-1535 is configured as a relay, a lithium-tuned automatic charging relay (ACR), and a relay. The outer relays handle load switching while the central ACR shares charge between battery banks, replicating common multi-battery switching and charge-management layouts.
Why choose a triple unit over separate relays?
It replaces three individual high-amp relays with one module, cutting mounting space and removing the external link cables along with the risk of those connections vibrating loose. For systems needing multiple ACRs, it also lowers total off-state quiescent current dramatically.
What is the off-state current draw?
Thanks to its bi-stable solenoid design, the off-state draw is just 1.3mA, around 90-95% less than competitive products that need multiple devices for similar functionality.
Can it be expanded further?
Yes. The triple module can be linked to additional single, dual or triple XD relays using the optional 8790 link and 8791 crossover busbars to support larger 2 or 3 battery system solutions.
