Description
This XD heavy-duty battery disconnect combines a manual battery switch and a mechanical contactor in one compact, marine-grade case. Silver alloy contact points support high-amperage, full-voltage switching of up to 500 A continuous, comfortably outperforming legacy rotary battery switches, and the bright yellow knob with a clear on and off label makes the switch state obvious at a glance. Because it is ignition protected it is safe to install in petrol-powered boats and other combustible environments, and the M10 terminal studs accept heavy battery cabling.
The rectangular case is narrower than competing products, so it surface-mounts or rear-panel mounts easily, and the included protective cover with label recesses prevents accidental shorts while keeping circuits identified. Sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K with an integrated Gore-Tex pressure-regulation vent, it shrugs off moisture for reliable long-term operation across a wide -40C to 125C temperature range. It integrates directly with XD Series Flex, ACR and LVD relays using the optional 8790 link and 8791 cross-link busbars.
