Description

This dual-circuit XD Flex 2 module replaces two individual high-amp relays with a single compact unit, removing the external link cabling that adds cost and can vibrate loose, and giving clear, unambiguous awareness of how the manual controls have set each relay. Built on the XD bi-stable solenoid platform, each circuit switches 500 A continuously and up to 1,500 A cranking while the assembly draws just 1.3 mA in the off state. A front-facing LED reports relay status and is replicated on the optional remote LED, and the two-relay layout supports common dual-battery load switching and charge management in one device.

Each relay has its own three-position manual override knob to force it open or closed and lock the state. Connection is through a sealed Deutsch DTM connector that is pin-for-pin compatible with legacy ML Series bi-stable relays, easing replacement in existing installations. The case is sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K with high-temperature electronics, an integrated Gore-Tex vent and stainless steel studs, relay behaviour is configured through DIP switches under the protective cover, and the unit can be expanded with 8790 and 8791 link bars alongside other XD relays.
