Description

The EGIS XD Flex 1 is a single-circuit, multi-mode bi-stable relay for 12V and 24V DC systems that can be configured as a simple switched relay, an automatic charging relay that combines two battery banks while a charge source is present, or a low-voltage disconnect that sheds loads to protect a battery. It carries 500A continuously and up to 1500A during cranking across an 8 to 36V DC operating range, replacing several discrete devices with one compact module.

Construction is sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K with high-temperature electronics, an integrated Gortex vent and stainless steel cable-lug studs that accept 1/4-20 or M6 hardware. The bi-stable solenoid draws just 1.3mA in the off state, and the chosen mode is set through dip switches under an included protective cover. A front-facing LED reports device status and is replicated by a remote LED output. This version ships with tinned wire leads and no manual override knob.

What functions can this Flex 1 relay perform?
It is a single multi-mode relay that can be configured via dip switches to act as a basic switched relay, an automatic charging relay (ACR) that combines two battery banks while charging, or a low-voltage disconnect (LVD) that sheds loads to protect a battery.
What voltage systems and current does it support?
It operates across 8 to 36V DC, suiting both 12V and 24V systems, and is rated for 500A continuous current with up to 1500A during engine cranking.
How does it wire into the system?
Main power connects to stainless steel cable-lug studs that accept 1/4-20 or M6 hardware, while control connections are made through the tinned wire leads. This model has no manual override knob.
Is it suitable for harsh or wet environments?
Yes. It is sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K, uses high-temperature electronics and an integrated Gortex vent to regulate internal pressure, and draws only 1.3mA in the off state.
