Description

The EGIS XD Flex 2 is a single-circuit, programmable bi-stable automatic charging relay for 12V and 24V DC systems. It links two battery banks so a single charge source keeps both topped up, then isolates them once charging stops to protect the start battery, and can be reconfigured as a plain switched relay through dip switches. It carries 500A continuously and up to 1500A during cranking across an 8 to 36V DC range.

Construction is sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K with high-temperature electronics, an integrated Gortex vent and stainless steel cable-lug studs that accept 1/4-20 or M6 hardware. The bi-stable solenoid draws just 1.3mA in the off state, and a 3-position manual override knob lets the relay be forced open or closed and locked in either state. A front-facing LED reports status and is replicated by a remote LED output, and the dip switches sit under an included protective cover. This version ships with tinned wire leads.

What does this automatic charging relay do?
It automatically combines two battery banks while a charge source is present so both banks charge from one source, then isolates them once charging stops to protect the start battery. It can also be configured as a basic switched relay via dip switches.
What voltage systems and current does it support?
It operates across 8 to 36V DC, suiting both 12V and 24V systems, and is rated for 500A continuous current with up to 1500A during engine cranking.
What does the manual override knob do?
The 3-position front-facing knob lets you force the relay open or closed manually and leave it locked in either state, giving clear visual confirmation of the forced condition.
How does it wire into the system?
Main power connects to stainless steel cable-lug studs that accept 1/4-20 or M6 hardware, while control connections are made through the tinned wire leads.
