Description

The EGIS XD Series Flex 2 Single is a high-current bi-stable solenoid that replaces traditional marine relays, solenoids and remote battery switches in a far smaller footprint. Rated at 500A continuous and 1500A maximum cranking across an 8 to 36 V DC range, it covers all standard 12V and 24V marine electrical systems. Dip-switch programming under the protective cover lets a single device act as a basic switched relay or an automatic charging relay (ACR) that combines two banks while charging and isolates them when no charge source is present.

Construction is sealed to IP67 and IP6K9K with high-temperature electronics, an integrated Gortex vent to equalise internal pressure, and stainless steel cable-lug studs that accept 1/4-20 / M6 hardware. Off-state current draw is just 1.3 mA, 90-95% lower than competitive multi-device solutions. A front-facing LED reports device status and is replicated at a remote LED, and the 6-position Deutsch DTM connector is pin-for-pin compatible with legacy ML Series bi-stable relays. This is the lever-free variant, supplied without a manual override knob.

Yes. The single circuit is programmed via dip switches under the protective cover, so it can operate as a basic switched relay or as an automatic charging relay (ACR) that combines two battery banks while charging and isolates them when no charge source is present.
Does it have a manual override knob?
No. The 8810-1600 is the lever-free variant supplied without a manual override knob. EGIS offers knob-equipped XD models if manual override is required.
