Victron Filax 2 Transfer Switch 110V (15/16A)

The Victron Filax 2 is an ultra-fast AC transfer switch designed to keep sensitive loads, such as computers and modern entertainment equipment, powered without interruption when switching from one AC source to another. The priority source is typically the mains, a generator or shore power; the alternate source is typically an inverter.

If the priority source fails or moves outside its voltage or frequency limits, the Filax transfers the load to the alternate source in less than 20 milliseconds, fast enough that connected equipment keeps running without dropping out or losing data. It is an open-transition (break-before-make) switch, so it never connects the two sources together.

This is the 110 V variant, the CE version for 110 V/50 Hz to 120 V/60 Hz systems, rated 15/16 A. Both inputs must be individually protected against over-current. The Filax is intended for sensitive electronic loads and is not designed to supply high-power household appliances such as washing machines or electric motors.
