Description
The Masterswitch 5 kW is an automatic AC transfer system. It takes two AC inputs, for example shore (grid) power and a generator, and automatically switches one of them through to a single AC output group, so the onboard system always draws from the available source without manual changeover.
Switching is fully automatic with an adjustable generator-input time delay of 0 to 10 seconds, and transfer is fast (12 to 22 ms on, 4 to 19 ms off). The 230 V (50/60 Hz) unit accepts 20 A nominal on each input and delivers up to 20 A at the output. It is housed in an IP55 enclosure for reliable operation on board. A Masterswitch Fuses version is also available that includes built-in circuit breakers.
