Description
The Victron MPPT WireBox-XL MC4 is a protective cover that shields the wiring terminals of the SmartSolar MPPT 150/85, 150/100, 250/85 and 250/100 charge controllers with MC4 solar connectors. It fits over the connection area to guard against accidental contact with live terminals and to give the installation a tidy, finished appearance.
Fitting a WireBox is good practice on boats and vehicles, where exposed terminals can be a safety and reliability concern. The cover keeps fingers and stray objects away from the connections while still allowing the cabling to route neatly out of the controller.
This is the MC4 version of the WireBox-XL, sized specifically for the 150/85, 150/100, 250/85 and 250/100 models. Make sure it matches your charge controller and connector type before ordering, as the WireBox range is model-specific.
