Engine shutdown detection works with smart alternators by sensing when the engine is running, so the unit does not discharge the starter battery when the alternator is not supplying power. Extensive protection covers overload, short circuit, over-temperature with power derating, and connector over-temperature.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBuilt-in Bluetooth lets you configure and monitor the charger from the VictronConnect app on a phone or tablet, with a programmable charge algorithm and eight preprogrammed battery presets.
