Description
The Victron Orion-Tr 24/12-10 is a non-isolated DC-DC converter that steps a 24V supply down to a regulated 12.5V output, delivering up to 10A (120W continuous). It is designed to run 12V equipment from a 24V system rather than to charge a battery; for controlled battery charging an Orion-Tr Smart charger should be used instead.
Synchronous rectification gives a high full-load efficiency of around 97 percent, keeping heat and input current low. The output stays stable across an 18 to 35V input range, making the converter a dependable supply for electronics, lighting and other 12V loads on boats, in vehicles and in off-grid installations.
The unit uses screw terminals and installs without special tools, and offers IP43 protection for the electronics when mounted with the terminals facing downwards.
