Description
The Victron Energy Solar Cable Y Splitter is a moulded MC4 compatible branch connector used to wire two solar panels, or two PV strings, in parallel. Each splitter combines the output of two panels into a single pair, so a matched set is used, one on the positive side and one on the negative side of the array.
Connecting panels in parallel adds their current together while keeping the array voltage the same, which is useful for boosting charge current from a group of similar panels. The connectors are MC4 compatible and mate directly with standard Victron solar cables and panel leads, and the double insulated, UV resistant housing is designed for permanent outdoor installation on boats, motorhomes and off grid systems.
