Description
The Victron Energy Solar Cable is a ready made photovoltaic (PV) DC cable used to connect a solar panel to a solar charge controller, or to extend an existing panel lead. This version is 5 metres long with a 4 mm(2) tinned copper conductor and is fitted with MC4 compatible connectors, a male on one end and a female on the other, so it plugs straight into standard solar panels and controllers without any tools or crimping.
The cable is double insulated and UV resistant, making it suitable for permanent outdoor installation on boats, motorhomes and off grid systems. The 4 mm(2) cross section suits smaller arrays and longer runs where cable losses need to be kept low. Because the connectors are pre fitted and factory tested, installation is quick and the connection is weatherproof once mated.
