Description
The Victron Temperature Sensor gives a MultiPlus, Quattro or Venus GX system a live reading of battery temperature so the charger can compensate its charge voltage automatically. As a battery warms or cools, the ideal charge voltage shifts, and feeding that temperature back to the inverter/charger keeps charging accurate and protects the battery from over or under charging.
The sensor fits onto the negative battery terminal and wires back to the temperature-sense input of the compatible unit. It is a simple, low-cost upgrade that helps get the most life and performance out of a battery bank, which makes it a sensible addition to any marine or off-grid installation. Note that this is the sensor for MultiPlus, Quattro and Venus GX products, and is not the version used with BMV battery monitors.
