Description
The Victron VE.Direct TX digital output cable is used with BlueSolar and SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers to make use of the TX output on their VE.Direct connector. It supports two applications: solar lighting control and a virtual load output.
For solar lighting it connects the TX output to the PWM dimmer input of an LED driver, allowing lights to be dimmed to save energy and keep them available even on a partially charged battery. As a virtual load output it adds switchable load functionality to the larger MPPT chargers (MPPT 100/30 and above) that have no built in load output, connecting the TX signal to a BatteryProtect or a solid state relay to switch a load on or off.
