Description

The Victron BMV-700H is a high-voltage version of the BMV-700 battery monitor, designed for systems with a battery voltage between 60 and 385 VDC. It measures battery voltage and the current passing through the supplied 500 A shunt, then calculates ampere-hours consumed, state of charge and the time remaining at the present rate of discharge.

The kit comprises the 63 mm round head unit, the 500 A / 50 mV shunt, a 10 metre RJ12 cable and a fused battery cable. No additional parts are required to read out a high-voltage bank, although the battery monitor is not isolated from the shunt and is suitable for systems with a grounded negative only. A programmable alarm and a programmable relay allow automatic warnings and load shedding.

A VE.Direct port connects the monitor to a Victron GX device or a computer, and an optional VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart dongle adds wireless monitoring from a phone or tablet.

What battery voltage does the BMV-700H support?
The BMV-700H is designed for systems with a battery voltage between 60 and 385 VDC. For systems up to 95 VDC, use the standard BMV-700, BMV-702 or BMV-712 Smart instead.
Is the BMV-700H isolated from the shunt?
No. The battery monitor is not isolated from the shunt, so the BMV-700H is suitable for systems with a grounded negative only. No additional parts are needed for the high-voltage range.
What is supplied in the BMV-700H kit?
The kit includes the BMV-700H head unit, a 500 A / 50 mV current shunt, a 10 metre RJ12 connecting cable and a battery cable fitted with a 1 A slow-blow fuse, along with a square and round front bezel, a rear securing ring and front-mounting screws.
Does the BMV-700H have an auxiliary input?
No. The BMV-700H monitors a single battery bank only and does not provide the auxiliary input for a second battery, temperature or midpoint voltage that is found on the BMV-702 and BMV-712 Smart.
Can the BMV-700H connect to a GX device?
Yes. The BMV-700H has a VE.Direct communication port, so it can be connected to a Victron GX device or to a computer for system monitoring.
