Description

The Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/800 VE.Direct turns 24V battery power into a clean 230V AC supply, giving you mains-quality electricity wherever you are. Its pure sine wave output drives sensitive electronics, chargers and appliances exactly as they expect, making it ideal for boats, campervans and off-grid cabins that need a dependable mid-power inverter.

Built around Victron's proven full-bridge and toroidal transformer design, the unit is short-circuit proof and protected against overheating from overload or high ambient temperatures. A generous 1500W peak handles demanding start-up loads such as pumps, power tools and compressor motors, while the fan-assisted housing keeps everything cool under continuous use.

The integrated VE.Direct port lets you monitor and configure the inverter from a phone, tablet or computer using a VE.Direct to USB cable or a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle. ECO mode drops the inverter into low-consumption standby when no load is present, and a remote on/off connection lets you switch it from the helm or living space.

Does this inverter produce a pure sine wave?
Yes. The Phoenix Inverter 24/800 VE.Direct delivers a true pure sine wave output, so it safely powers sensitive electronics, chargers and motorised appliances just as the mains would.
What can an 800VA inverter run?
It provides 800VA (650W continuous at 25°C, 560W at 40°C) with a 1500W peak for start-up surges. That suits TVs, fridges, power tools, small pumps and most domestic electronics. Check that your appliance's running and start-up wattage stays within these limits.
How do I monitor or configure it?
Connect the built-in VE.Direct port to a phone, tablet or computer using a VE.Direct to USB cable or a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle (both sold separately) and use the free VictronConnect app to view input and output voltage, load and alarms and to adjust settings.
What is ECO mode?
ECO mode puts the inverter into low-consumption standby when the load falls below a set level (minimum 15W). It briefly wakes at an adjustable interval to check for a load, cutting standby power to about 1.5W and saving battery when nothing is drawing power.
Can I switch it on and off remotely?
Yes. A remote on/off switch can be wired to the two-pole connector, or between battery positive and the left-hand contact, so you can control the inverter from another location.
How do I keep AC power during a power source change?
Victron recommends pairing the inverter with the Filax Automatic Transfer Switch, which changes over in under 20 milliseconds so computers and other electronics keep running without interruption.
