Description
The Victron MultiPlus 12/2000/80 120V is a combined 2000 VA pure sine wave inverter, 80 A adaptive battery charger and high-speed AC transfer switch in one enclosure, configured for 120 VAC, 60 Hz output. It suits marine, mobile and off-grid systems operating on the North American AC standard that need clean mains-quality power and capable charging from a single 12 V unit.
When shore or generator power is lost, the main output transfers to the inverter in less than 20 milliseconds, so computers and sensitive electronics keep running uninterrupted. PowerControl caps the current drawn from a limited shore or generator supply, while PowerAssist supplements that supply with battery power during peaks, then recharges once demand falls.
Adaptive multi-stage charging with a temperature sensor cares for the house bank, and a separate trickle output keeps a starter battery topped up. Up to six units can be paralleled, or three configured for three-phase output, with monitoring and configuration via a GX device, control panel or the VictronConnect app.
