Description
The Victron MultiPlus 24/5000/120 is a high-output combined inverter, charger and AC transfer switch in one enclosure, pairing a 5000 VA pure sine wave inverter with a 120 A adaptive battery charger. Running from a 24 V battery bank, it is designed for large marine, mobile and off-grid systems that need plenty of mains-quality power and rapid recharging.
On loss of shore or generator power, the main output switches to the inverter in under 20 milliseconds, so computers and sensitive electronics keep running without interruption. PowerControl limits the current taken from a constrained shore or generator supply, while PowerAssist adds battery power during heavy peaks before recharging the bank. A second output and a programmable auxiliary output let non-essential loads drop away when no AC source is present.
Adaptive multi-stage charging with a temperature sensor maintains the house bank, and a trickle output keeps a starter battery charged. Up to six units can be paralleled, or three configured for three-phase output, with monitoring and configuration via a GX device, control panel or the VictronConnect app.
