Description
The Victron MultiPlus Compact 12/1600/70 packs a pure sine wave inverter, an adaptive battery charger and a high-speed AC transfer switch into one compact 12 V enclosure. When shore or generator power drops out it assumes the load in milliseconds, so computers and other sensitive electronics carry on running uninterrupted.
Intended for marine, mobile and off-grid 12 V systems, it supplies 1600 VA of clean 230 V output and recharges the bank with a powerful 70 A four-stage adaptive charger, plus a 4 A trickle charge for a starter battery. PowerControl and PowerAssist let it work alongside a limited shore or generator supply, drawing on the battery only when extra power is needed.
This model belongs to Victron's discontinued MultiPlus Compact range and remains a strong choice for well-equipped 12 V back-up and auxiliary installations.
