Description
The Victron MultiPlus Compact 12/1600/70 combines a powerful 1600 VA pure sine wave inverter, an adaptive 70 A battery charger and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact metal enclosure. It is built for marine, mobile and off-grid installations where dependable mains-quality power and capable battery charging are needed from one unit.
When shore or generator power fails, the integrated transfer switch hands the load to the inverter in less than 20 milliseconds, so computers and sensitive electronics keep running without interruption. Victron PowerControl lets you cap the current drawn from a limited shore or generator supply, while PowerAssist boosts that supply with battery power during short peaks, then recharges once demand falls.
Adaptive four-stage charging with a battery temperature sensor looks after the house bank, and a separate trickle output keeps a starter battery topped up. Settings are changed in minutes using DIP switches, and up to six units can be paralleled or configured for three-phase output as systems grow.
