Description
The Victron MultiPlus 12/500/20 brings together a 500 VA pure sine wave inverter, a 20 A adaptive battery charger and a high-speed AC transfer switch in one compact enclosure. It is a tidy single-box solution for smaller marine, mobile and off-grid installations that need clean mains-quality power and reliable charging from a 12 V battery bank.
When shore or generator power is lost, the integrated transfer switch passes the load to the inverter in less than 20 milliseconds, so computers and other sensitive electronics keep running without interruption. The adaptive multi-stage charger looks after the house battery with the help of a temperature sensor, while a separate trickle output keeps a starter battery topped up.
Settings are changed in minutes with DIP switches, and the unit can be paralleled or configured for three-phase output as a system grows. It integrates with a Multi Control panel, a VE.Bus Smart Dongle or the VictronConnect app for monitoring and control.
