Description

The Victron Quattro 24/8000/200-100/100 is a combined pure sine wave inverter and battery charger built for a 24 V system in marine, mobile and off-grid installations. It accepts two independent AC inputs, for example a shore connection and a generator, and connects automatically to whichever source is live through its integrated transfer switch, so the changeover between sources needs no manual intervention. Two unique features set the Quattro apart. PowerControl lets you cap the current drawn from a generator or shore supply so the unit never overloads a limited source, using any spare capacity to charge the battery. PowerAssist goes further and boosts that limited source with power from the battery during short load peaks, then recharges once demand falls. The main output is uninterrupted and takes over in under 20 milliseconds when input power is lost, while a second auxiliary output sheds non-essential loads when no external AC is present. The Quattro is designed to grow with the installation. Multiple units run in parallel for more power, and three units configure for three phase operation, with split phase also supported. The system is monitored and configured over the VE.Bus port, and when paired with a GX device such as a Cerbo GX it connects to the free Victron VRM portal and app for remote monitoring and control.

How many AC inputs does the Quattro have?
It has two AC inputs with an integrated transfer switch. You can connect two independent sources, for example shore power and a generator, and the Quattro automatically connects to whichever source is active. The maximum feed-through current is 2x 100 A.
What is the difference between PowerControl and PowerAssist?
PowerControl lets you set a current limit on each AC input so the Quattro never overloads a generator or shore supply, using any spare capacity to charge the battery. PowerAssist goes further and tops up a limited source with power from the battery during short peaks, then recharges the battery once the load drops.
How quickly does it switch over during a power failure?
The main output is uninterrupted and takes over the supply in less than 20 milliseconds when grid, shore or generator power is lost, so computers and other sensitive equipment keep running without disruption.
Can I run several units together for more power?
Yes. Multiple units can be connected in parallel, and three units can be configured for three phase output. Split phase operation is also possible using a Victron autotransformer. Configuration is handled over the VE.Bus port.
How do I monitor and control the Quattro?
Local monitoring is available via a Digital Multi Control panel, the VE.Bus Smart dongle over Bluetooth, or a GX device such as a Cerbo GX. When connected to a GX device you also get free remote monitoring and configuration through the Victron VRM portal and VRM app.
