Description

The SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 is a compact smart solar charge controller for 12 V and 24 V installations on boats, campers and off-grid systems. It accepts a PV array of up to 75 V open circuit and delivers up to 15 A of charge current, using an ultra-fast tracking algorithm that holds the panel at its optimum operating point even as light levels shift. Built-in Bluetooth lets you configure the charger, monitor performance and update firmware directly from a phone or tablet.

A multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm tailors the charge profile to lead-acid or lithium batteries, and the SafetyShield+ protection set guards against PV reverse polarity, short circuits and over-temperature. The load output can run small DC loads while preventing deep discharge, and a VE.Direct port allows the controller to be integrated into a wider Victron monitoring system.

What does the 75/15 designation mean?
The first number is the maximum PV open circuit voltage the controller accepts (75 V) and the second is the maximum charge current it can deliver to the battery (15 A). So the 75/15 takes a solar array up to 75 V and charges at up to 15 A.
Which battery voltages does it support?
The SmartSolar MPPT 75/15 automatically detects and works with 12 V and 24 V battery banks. It supports lead-acid (AGM, gel, flooded) and lithium batteries through its adjustable, multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm.
What is the difference between the 75/10 and the 75/15?
Both accept the same 75 V maximum PV input voltage. The 75/15 delivers up to 15 A of charge current versus 10 A on the 75/10, so it suits slightly larger solar arrays and battery banks.
Do I need extra hardware to set it up?
No. Bluetooth is built in, so you configure and monitor the controller directly from the free VictronConnect app. The VE.Direct port is available if you later want to connect it to a GX device or VRM for remote monitoring.
